Dear All,

I've just put the first part of the database itemising the contents of Robert's library in Canellun online. You can find it here:

http://www.robertgraves.org/canellun/index.php

As my note on the page states, the resource is still in development. There are typos and blanks within the list. The blanks are holding spaces for items that still need to be identified. Typos are, well, typos. Smile Please let me know of any that you might come across.

I envisage the database being used, primarly, by researchers who are interested in knowing what Robert may have used as a research resource on some of his works. The list will never be exhaustive. Robert sold many of his books once he was finished with them. Nevertheless, those that we find there today (and there are many fascinating titles in the list) were, almost certainly, used by Robert.

As always, comments are invited.

Ian

I've just completed adding the remainder of the spreadsheet data to the database.

There are now over 1470 items from Robert's library listed. There will be more typos discovered (many thanks to Carl Hahn and Michael Joseph for your help thus far).

Plans for additional features:

1) dynamic links from ids to photos of bookcases where the items where held
2) dynamic links to detailed bibliographical information
3) Higginson number (for RG titles)

If you have any ideas on improving this resource, please let me know.

Best wishes,

Ian
