Notes: This edition had four print runs from October through December of 1927 and the total of all these runs is the figure given above.
O’Brien (E030) reports variant colors of cloth bindings.
Many copies have an order blank for Doughty’s Arabia Deserta tipped in between pp.448 and 449. Some copies of the first impression are seen bound in reddish brown cloth which is thought to be a secondary binding.
Impressions: 2nd, November 1927; 3rd, November 1927 (in slick brown cloth); 4th, December 1927 (carries the date 1928).
Seven of the illustrations are by Eric Kennington.
A photograpic facsimile (in paper covers) of A26a was produced by Paragon House, New York, 1991.
