Price: 7s. 6d. Number of copies undisclosed. Published 15 February 1932 in white dust-jacket printed in blue, yellowish pink, brown and black; blurbs on the front flap; back flap and back panel are blank. Dust-jacket design by John Aldridge.

Thought to be written in collaboration with Laura Riding although she has subsequently denied authorship (see Laura Riding Jackson, “Some Autobiographical Corrections of Literary History,” Denver Quarterly 8 (1974), 29; but also see Seymour-Smith, pp.212–213).

Variant binding: The Library of Congress copy is bound in orange cloth; front and back blank.

Richard Williams a bookseller in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire offered in June 2003 a copy of the third impression in a dust-jacket with book reviews on both flaps and with a blank back panel. The jacket bore a price of 7s. 6d. Not seen.
