Notes: Graves’s contribution (pp.325–331) is an essay largely adapted from Lawrence and the Arabs (A26). The abridged edition of B26 published by Cape in 1954 also contains this essay.

Second and third impressions were published in 1937; fourth impression in January 1938 and a fifth in 1939.

Doubleday, Doran and Company published an American edition of B26 in June-July 1937.

In 1980 Gordian Press, New York, issued a phographic impression of the Doubleday Doran edition.

McGraw-Hill Book Company published an abridged paperback edition in in August 1963, with Graves’s contribution on pp. 275-278.

This book was published in German by Paul List Verlag in 1938.

In 2002 the T. E. Lawrence Society produced an index to B26: T. E. Lawrence Society. Oxford: T. E. Lawrence Society, Index T. E. Lawrence by His Friends, 2002. Two issues: cloth-bound and paper covers.
