Price: $5.95. Number of copies: 4,000 (in two printings). Published 17 January 1964 in white dust-jacket printed in black, yellow, and magenta. The dust-jacket design is by Carl Smith.

Notes: Graves’s contribution is the introduction (pp.[ix]x–xxii).

There were English hardcover and paperback issues of this edition, the former by W.H. Allen and the latter by Cape. In the case of the hardback, both book and dust-jacket were manufactured in the United States. The paperback appears to have used the plates of the American edition.

The dust-jacket design is by Carl Smith.
