Notes: Graves’s contribution is two letters on pp.283–84. One of “Two Rhymes About Fate and Money”, referenced on p. [iv] as being on p. 286 is actually on p. 303. This is an earlier textual state of the poem than either that published as ‘How and Why’ in The Penny Fiddle (A92) in 1960, and the futher revision in More Poems 1961 (A93). There is also a photograph of Graves on p. [120].
